Neuroscientists from the 4brain research team @ Ghent University perform translational neuroscience to unravel the pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders and develop novel therapies. Multimodal neuroscience techniques are used to excel in the neuroscience field and bridge preclinical and clinical research.

Advanced recording and neuromodulation techniques are applied in various models for neuropsychiatric diseases to understand their pathogenesis and search for new treatments.
Clinical Research
Patients are screened for brain abnormalities using a multimodal clinical techniques including neurophysiology, imaging, neuropsychology. Aberrant brain function is modulated using non-invasive and invasive neuromodulatory treatments
